Sample Set #148: Bacdafucup

Executive produced by Jam Master Jay, Bacdafucup unleashed the untapped energy of four hardcore emcees from Queens, New York. This wasn’t just obscure underground hip hop though – it was mainstream. You see in those days, an album like this could go platinum in just one month – which is exactly what Bacdafucup did! Add to that, it climbed its way to earning two platinum plaques! Sadly, that shit would never float nowadays what with bubble gum pop rappers on the radio boasting their swag. Sticky Fingaz, Fredro Starr, Big DS and Sonsee in ’93 woulda beat the living shit out of present-day Soulja Boy, OJ Da Juiceman, Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. Now that I think of it, this whole scenario kind of reminds me of this George Carlin stand-up bit:

Turn It Up!!
