Even More Music From 8 Mile

It feels like only yesterday when this film was released. Eminem was at the height of his career while 50 Cent was merely an underground name. In fact, Fiddy's feature on the first 8 Mile soundtrack helped to propel him to his eventual stardom. But enough of that... Featured alongside the first soundtrack (with music inspired by 8 Mile) came a complimentary release full of tracks from the film. To the lay listener, this release provided a prime example of '95 era hip hop. But at the time, I was disappointed to find that a few of the great tracks which appeared in the film were nowhere to be found on either of the two OST's. By now, I suppose you can imagine what this HHIR Exclusive is all about...

Featuring some must-have joints like Biggie's 'Unbelievable' and 'Who Shot Ya?, Montell Jordan's 'This Is How We Do It' and Cypress Hill's 'Insane in the Brain', Even More Music From 8 Mile is a perfect early-to-mid-90's playlist of real hip hop (oh, along with Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Sweet Home Alabama' just for kicks). Even More Music From 8 Mile has some amazing underground and grimey talent as well, including Onyx, O.C., Showbiz & A.G. I've also included four bonus instrumental tracks which were popularized as backdrops for the film's infamous battle scenes (Buckwild and Premo did their damn thing on 'Times's Up' and 'Next Level', respectively). I hope you enjoy this one...
